Louisiana District: Delivery Unit Operations
We performed audits at the New Orleans Processing and Distribution Center (P&DC) and five delivery units serviced by the P&DC in the New Orleans, Louisiana region during the week of June 12, 2023. The delivery units included the Bywater Station, New Orleans, LA; Carrollton Station, New Orleans, LA; Central Carrier Station, New Orleans, LA; Elmwood Branch, New Orleans, LA; and Lake Forest Station, New Orleans, LA.
We issued individual reports for the five delivery units and the P&DC we visited. We also issued another report summarizing the results of our audits at all five delivery units with specific recommendations that management has addressed.

We identified deficiencies in three of the four areas we reviewed that affected the efficiency of operations at the Atlanta P&DC. We also identified one additional area related to safety and security.
