Working with our Law Enforcement Partners

Our special agents investigate nationwide internal crimes and fraud committed by postal employees and contractors as well as postal employee misconduct. We work with U.S. Attorneys’ Offices and local prosecutors across the country to prosecute these crimes. 

In some instances, we uncover much larger criminal activity being carried out by multiple individuals and organizations. In many of these cases, we partner with other federal and local law enforcement agencies to identify and hold responsible those who take advantage of the public’s trust in our postal system.

Second Postal Carrier Sentenced Prison for Delivering Marijuana Packages to Drug Dealers

PHILADELPHIA — United States Attorney William M. McSwain announced that a second U.S. Postal carrier was sentenced to prison today for taking bribes in exchange for delivering packages containing marijuana to drug dealers. Steven C. MADISON, WIS. – Scott C. Blader, United States Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin, announced that Joanne T. Huehn, 42, formerly of Milltown, Wis., was sentenced for stealing from the mail while an employee of the U.S. Postal Service. U.S. District Judge William M. Health Care Providers to Pay $14.7 Million to Resolve False Claims Act Allegations

Former Postal Worker Sentenced for Stealing Mail

MADISON, WIS. – Scott C. Blader, United States Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin, announced that Justin Cain, 35, Cashton, Wisconsin, was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge William Conley to five years of probation.
