Working with our Law Enforcement Partners

Our special agents investigate nationwide internal crimes and fraud committed by postal employees and contractors as well as postal employee misconduct. We work with U.S. Attorneys’ Offices and local prosecutors across the country to prosecute these crimes.

In some instances, we uncover much larger criminal activity being carried out by multiple individuals and organizations. In many of these cases, we partner with other federal and local law enforcement agencies to identify and hold responsible those who take advantage of the public’s trust in our postal system.

Brooklyn Man Sentenced for Stealing Mail in Liverpool

Mother, Son Who Sold Drugs on Dark Web Sentenced to Combined 18 Years in Prison

An Arlington mother-son duo who shipped methamphetamine through the U.S. Mail has been sentenced to a combined 18 years in federal prison, announced Acting U.S. Attorney Prerak Shah. Former Post Office Supervisor Sentenced for Stealing Cash from Mail

Leonard C Boyle, Acting United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, announced that Jessica Giles, 38, of West Haven, was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge Robert N. Chatigny to two years of probation, the first three months of which Giles must spend in home confinement, for stealing cash from the mail while working for the U.S. Postal Service. Postal Employee Sentenced to Prison for Stealing Packages that Contained Drugs

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Celeste Pang, 42, of Olivehurst, was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge Morrison C. England Jr. to six months in prison and a $2,000 fine for embezzlement of mail by postal employee, Acting U.S. Attorney Phillip A. Talbert announced. Former USPS Carrier Sentenced for Making False Statements to Obtain Disability Compensation

Greenbelt, Maryland – U.S. District Judge Paula Xinis today sentenced Ronald S. Repass, age 57, of Poolesville, Maryland, to five years of probation on the federal charge of making false statements or fraud to obtain federal employees’ disability compensation and ordered Repass to pay restitution in the amount of $22,000.
