    hello, I bought an item online January 13th and I still have yet to recieve it. I have a tracking number and it will say it’s in transit to destination then all of a sudden go back to Detroit MI Network Distribution Center. It has done that about five times now. Is there something I can do about that? Did the sender put a wrong address? The package did not come from over seas, however ive had over seas packages come faster than this!

    Having the same problems as these people, The package is delayed and will not be delivered by the expected delivery date. The workers there are so lazy they even stopped giving me daily updates at 12:20 that its still in transit. Unbelievable.

    Once again. USPS at its finest. Why is no one doing anything to look into the problems with the detroit/allen park facility. It's a constant nitemare to have a package come thru this facilty. Are there really any employees working there. Package just came grom overseas in four days....sitting in detroit for five days. I try to believe that something will be done to correct the problems there. Obviously not. So now I have requested that any purchases I make use a different shipping method. If they cant. I dont purchase. It is kurst unbelievable thst this problem just continues. Also now I am requesting refunds from sellers. Maybe you guys just slip thru the cracks. Horrible service

    priority mail my a%%% , sent from Caseville mi. a small birthday package, going to waterford mi. 3 days & no answers or package revived, so why i paid 20.00 for a no reason, for delay other then it sits at this warehouse in Det. mi WTH , you people better get it together, WHERE IS ALL THEM LOST PACKAGES ?     I mail a priority box each week. The Detroit Distribution Center has taken, 5, 6 and 7 days sitting there before they move it out of Michigan. Inexcusable. UPS and Amazon can more mail and the USPS has been in business a lot more years. Complaining just gets "I am sorry" but you do not get a refund. Very poor Service.

    I have two packages combined total $1600 of rifle parts are showing "arrived at USPS Regional Destination Facility DETROIT MI NETWORK DISTRIBUTION CENTER" for two days. Now it's 5 days later than expected delivery date. Another package I ordered during weekend had arrived. I have no idea what's the holdup? Or maybe my package have already been stolen?

    This facility is a complete mess and no one in that facility has any integrity for their work or have any sense of responsibility for their job. I have a package that keeps leaving and then re-entering this facility. What are they doing? Aren't they supposed to process their packages to the next center/facility towards their final destination? This facility is like a black hole, packages go in but they never leave that facility? Why is no one investigating this facility? This is flat out ridiculous and completely frustrating to both the buyers and sellers. The buyers are getting frustrated that they don't get their items on time and the sellers are getting penalized for something that's not their fault. Then, here's this facility who keeps getting away with treating our packages and mail like junk. How can this even happen?

    Hi: My mother sent a package from Nashville and it still hasn't arrived to Hillsdale Mi. I have a tracking number. Any way to see what the delay is, other than the tracking number, which hasn't shown any movement in 48 hours...

    I ordered a package on January 23rd and tracking still says delayed in transit at this facility. What in the world is going on there and for soooo long? Why doesnt another facility step in to help? Im moving tomorrow and my package still wont be here. I've had to request a refund from the shipper.

    It is very frustrating to have packages sent to me Priority Mail, and then not get them for several days past the allotted time. (I pay around $10 for each Priority Shipping package sent to me. One time I paid $57.00 because it was coming from overseas. What a mess. What a loss of money for me) It is especially frustrating to use the tracking database on my packages when they need my signature on them and the tracking system says that it will arrive today no later than 8 pm. Foolishly believing in the updated tracking system, I cancel all appointments and plans I had for that day in order to be available to sign for the package to not have it be delivered that day at all. Terrible. This happens quite often. How I would love to see the Post Office done away with !!!! Not to have to use the Post Office anymore and just deal with Fed Ex or UPS would be a dream come true!!! The post office doesn't have the integrity that it once had. I also get my mail way past 7 pm and past 8 pm, way too dark to walk to the mailbox in the winter time, so I don't get mail until I get up in the morning. Sometimes I've ordered ink for my printer to open it up and find that the ink is frozen because the package sat overnight in my mailbox and of course I didn't know they came because it was late at night and I couldn't see.

    Almost all of our packages we send out that go through this facility end up being stuck there for at least 4-6 days. My customers are complaining that the packages are taking too long to deliver and each one has been a package that has gone through this facility. We ship our packages priority mail so this should NOT be happening. When I check other tracking numbers, the packages that go to the Grand Rapids facility don't have this problem, just the Detroit network distribution center. This is so very annoying and awful and may cause me to lose customers, so I am extremely displeased. I am paying priority prices and getting very poor service and might have to use another shipping carrier now.

    My wife and I own a small Mom and Pop internet business, and all of our mail goes through Allen Park or Detroit. We send out 20 to 50 pieces of mail daily all across the country and have done so for over 10 years. While we do loose an occasional letter nationwide, the loss and delays that originate from Detroit / Allen Park are INTOLERABLE!! This facility needs to be investigated, and then closed or privatized. My first class small package cost has doubled in the last 10 years, yet the service through Detroit deteriorates. So far this year I have had an item stolen out of a package early January 2018, and mid-month I have 2 tracked packages that set there for over 2 weeks!! The oversight and supervision at this facility must be non-existent! I would suggest everyone who has trouble call your Congressman and complain - INSIST that SOMETHING BE DONE!! CLOSE OR PRIVATIZE THIS FACILITY!!

    I agree, ...the post office has been struggling & losing business and can barely stay open as it is. Then throw in the terrible service through some of these facilities and then the constant price hikes....well its a no wonder they are failing. My package has lost any record of tracking for the last three days thus far....and its a food item that contains liquid. I've been to the mailbox the last three days looking so it doesn't freeze and still nothing. If it comes this weekend when im not home and it freezes its going to be ruined! Highly pxxxxx off! Not to mention the fact that it should be handled with care, I doubt that it is.

    I have two packages that have been sitting at this facility for almost two weeks now. Tracking even said that they were out for delivery at one point and never came. I’ve since ordered multiple packages that thankfully didn’t get processed here and have been delivered to me. Although my last two packages I ordered 3 or so days ago have been received here and I suspect to have the same problem. I am moving soon and I hope I get all four of my items before then.

    I also have an insured package containing a $600-$700 item which has been delayed at the Detroit Michigan Network Distribution Center, shipped via 2 Day Priority Mail on 01-29-2018 from Romulus, Michigan to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and it has not yet been delivered. The recipient, who purchased this item on eBay, is extremely angry that they have not yet received the item. I do not appreciate the incompetence of this hub who I just received word back from stating they have no idea where the package is now.

    Priority Mail sent 1/16/18. It has been hung up in Detroit MI Network Distribution Center since the 18th. Here we are 11 days later and no response. I waited on hold for over 30 mins with no response. My time is way too valuable to be jacking around with you clowns. I will never use USPS again unless it is to send a pile of cow crap. You guys suck. Your rates are higher than UPS and your customer SERVICE is absolutely horrible. This is the federal government at its finest. You suck USPS and I want my package. This is a $250 rant because I am not counting on seeing my stuff again.

    Dan, Thanks for your message. We are an independent agency of the Postal Service and unfortunately can't help with lost or damaged mail. You can file a claim with the Postal Service on the USPS website.

    It looks like my package has gone off into limbo like so many others here! Mine was sent from Oakville, CT on Jan. 22, 2018, and arrived in Springfield, MA on the 23rd. From there I was given a delivery date of Jan.25th. Well, the tracker showed it as being "delayed" on the 26th, with no expected delivery date after that. It showed up at the Regional Distribution Facility in Detroit, last night. (Jan.28th), so I was hoping it would arrive at my local post office today, and going out for delivery, but no such luck. Today, Jan. 29th, the tracker showed it arrived at the Pontiac Distribution Center at 6:26 a.m. Still showing as "delayed" with no expected delivery date. Pontiac is several.miles out of the way from where I live, and it should never have been sent way out there. This is absolutely ridiculous! The postal rates have just gone up again, but the service is getting worse. The item I'm waiting for isn't extremely expensive to others, perhaps, but I'm on a low income and can't afford to just write this off and let it go I'd like to know where it is, and when it will get here! Apparently other people are having the same problem with their deliveries, at the same distribution centers. How many complaints need to be filed before something gets done to fix this? I'd like to get a reply, today if possible, or as soon as possible. I've waited too long to receive my package!

    I will never send another package using the postal service again. I sent a priority mail pkg Jan 16 2018 from the Utica post office bound for Royal Oak Michigan. It arrived at the Detroit Network Dist Ctr at 9:30 PM Jan 16 2018 and departed (supposedly) January 17, noontime. After that it was on it's way to Royal Oak, 19 miles, for the next week (January 26). Then I started calling the Royal Oak Post office, the Detroit Network Ctr, and filed a missing mail report. Finally, the pkg arrived at the Pontiac Dist Ctr in Waterford on Jan 27. Unfortunately, I don't know if that is true because according to USPS Tracking, the pkg is on it's way to Royal Oak today, Jan 28 at 12:52 PM but it is now 12:40 PM. Am I supposed to believe that they know it is leaving Waterford in 12 minutes when they didn't know where my priority mail package was for the last two weeks?

    Yes, after 9 days my pkg. arrived. I felt like all of you but assumed there was an equipment, truck, or weather problem. The tracking kept teasing me that it was on its way from Allen Park Dist. Center. It finally said it was at Pontiac, then out for delivery and still was not delivered. Maybe there is a personnel problem or shortage. I'd hate to be a postal inspector there!

    Janae, my return package arrived at Detroit Facility on January 9, today is 31 and it’s still there. Last Friday it departed this center and arrived to the same place on Manday this week. I’m not sure if so ever got it back. I might start the investigation through my credit card company to get my money back. Filing a claim is not helpful. I have no response for a long time.

    Why can't we help this facility to do their job by requesting to pick our packages. From the looks of it my delayed package has entered the Bermuda Triangle. This is clearly a criminal act for a patterned behaviour of "losing" these packages. And as any criminal it requires a criminal investigation. Can someone explain, why can't we pick up our own packages? Aren't there any laws that this facility should abide to? Our service has been paid with top dollar to prevent this crappy operation. Where is the State Gov and how does it allow it happen? This is not a third world country location. Chances are, that these packages make it to war zone somewhere in ME rather than from this center. If my kid condition gets worsened because you delayed my paid services, i will be pressing charges. You have been made aware.

    The distribution center at Allen Park is either the worst case of mismanagement or is horribly understaffed. Packages are sitting there for over a week and not moving. Get some temps in there to get the backlog cleaned up. Was told there are pallets of stuff just sitting there and they will get to them when they get to them. They don't even bother to answer to inquiries. If these incidents are isolated to this facility, the local upper management needs to go. If this indicative of USPS as a whole, then it's not local management that needs to go, it's USPS upper management that needs to go. Not that these comments will do any good. I'm still looking for a positive comment on this facility so nothing is happening. Beginning to think it's the system as a whole. Click on the Hotline form hyperlink and it says page not found. Unreal.

    Once again.....packages delayed or shipped around a "in a circle" the delays are ridiculous. There has to be a solution. It is impossible to contact anyone. Even going to the local post office is a waste of time. From now on I am requesting a different shipping method. Packages can travel a 1000 miles then when it hits detroit......it sits. The updates are ridiculous too. Most of my packages go...detroit....pontiac....port huron...back down to st clair shores. Today....another package delayed. Rates go up and service goes down. Heck, for years now the norm is mail carriers just walk rite down the grass from house to house. The sidewalk...whats that? Headphones on...strutting along.

    I HAVE CONTACTED FOX 2 NEWS REQUESTING NEWS COVERAGE OF THIS PLACE! I paid $52 on Wednesday 1/17/18 to mail a large box containing VERY important items. I paid for priority mail because the items were a PRIORITY. My box left Mt Clemens post office on 1/17/18 and has been sitting in Allen Park. Each day, they update the tracking to show "In-Transit-Delayed". Some days its says departed with the following day showing its still in Allen Park. Today, it says "in transit to destination, 12:20pm". Well, it was still 11:00am so how does that make any sense??? The voicemail of "Lisa Mitchell" is always full. The employee at Mt Clemens PO says they get a ton of complaints on Allen Park but that you just have to wait. There is no help for us victims. Perhaps, Fox 2 will provide some assistance.

    Ordered two packages, one on Jan/12/2018 and another Jan/20/2018. Both are stuck at the distribution center with daily updates at 12:02 pm saying "On its way". Waiting for 12:02 pm today so I can be disappointed again...

    WHY is it taking more than SIX DAYS yo deliver a package from the Detroit Distribution Center to the MIDLAND POST OFFICE , when it only took TWO DAYS from the SAME center to CHARLEVOIX, MICHIGAN??? THE U.S.P.S. keeps RAISING their PRICES while their SERVICES KEEP GETTING MORE AND MORE SLOPPY!!! No WONDER they are struggling to stay open!!!

    My return package is sitting at the Distribution Facility in Detroit since January 9 this year. I filled out an online complaint last week and it didn’t help. No one sent me any updates so far. I will be calling the Customer Care Service this weekend and I’m also planning to notify the US POSTAL SERVICE OFFICE OF INSPECTOR GENERAL about this place. I paid over $200.00 for the coat and I’m waiting to get my money back. If someone could give some advice on this issue I will appreciate it. This place should have been closed or run better under new management. So many people already complained about this facility and nothing changed. It should not happen in this country. Very disappointed.

    We have nearly 50 PRIORITY MAIL packages that were sent on January 15 and 16 - today is January 25. These packages are still at the Detroit Distribution Center in Allen Park... What's going on at this location!? We sell on eBay and they offer "Guaranteed Delivery dates" - because of this delayed status (packages held for over a week at the distribution center), we have received negative feedback and will be losing our top seller plus status on eBay. Anything under a pound will go USPS First Class (wish there was another option) - everything else is being sent UPS from now on. Ugh!!

    I have 2 packages that I've been waiting on that came here. Package #1 was supposed to arrive on 1/20. I had checked the tracking info and it said that it was at my home city, was out for delivery, and would be delivered by 8pm. Since then my package has somehow traveled from my home city's post office, all the way to frickin' Pennsylvania. No idea why or how, yet tracking info had updated to say that it would be delivered today. It wasn't. Package #2 arrived to my home city's post office on Monday, yet now it has traveled to NY. What is going on!? USPS has become horrible and unreliable, as if it weren't bad enough that mail through USPS comes 2 weeks late anymore.

    Had a package and large envelope shipped Priority Express, ONE day guarantee by noon on 22 Jan. 18. The package was human cremated remains. Neither has arrived as of 24 Jan. 18 morning. Both showed that they were in Detroit Monday night and Tues. night. Finally on Weds, it shows that the package made it to JAX. Hopefully will be delivered this a.m. Still waiting on envelope to get moved out of Detroit. Called yesterday, got a Case number for both. WE WILL GET A REFUND for shipping costs. No refund for our wasted time waiting for items to arrive since signature is needed for each one. INSPECTOR GENERAL, do you read these comments??? I think you have some major issues with the DETROIT distribution Center. PLEASE do something about it! Please notify us when issues get resolved. Until then, folks should not use post offices that use the Detroit distribution center, sorry folks!

    I spent $80m to mail 2 packages that should have arrived at their destination today. They never left your facility like they should have. This is the second time in 2 months. If you cant do the job quit. This whole facility needs to be shut down and put somewhere else where people want their jobs and do it the way it should be done. You are all a lazy bunch of jerks.     Still waiting on 5 packages shipped from one vendor (various locations). All were shipped UPS/USPS Mail Innovations Jan 9 - Jan 11 2018. According to UPS website, ALL packages were "transferred to the post office" in Allen Park, MI at the Detroit Distribution Center within 2 days of their shipment. NONE of these packages are showing being accepted by the USPS at that location. UPS says they delivered, USPS says we don't have them. Now going on 2 weeks and USPS still says "USPS awaiting item". Really? so now what? Appears as though no method of recourse at this point but to claim as lost and have vendor re-ship. This is unbelievable. How many other people are in this same predicament?
