I am going on about 6 registered letters from Europe that get hung up at the New York processing facility. About half of them make it to me and some don't. Very frustrating when the USPS wont recognize that these are “registered” letters. I have filled out the case form...because they are coming from overseas, I keep getting emails of insufficient data to complete. Maybe you should include a international senders address on it? Is there any way to get these letters sent through? Thanks for your help or information.

Hi Mark, and thank you for your message. The OIG is an independent agency of the Postal Service and day-to-day mail delivery issues are outside of our jurisdiction. If you have not already done so, please try contacting your local Post Office. If you have already done that, try contacting USPS Customer Service, (800-275-8777), or file an online complaint with Customer Service. Very Respectfully, the USPS Office of Inspector General.

I came home from work and the mail had not come yet as my flag was still up. I saw about an hour later that my flag was done so walked over to get the mail and there was a certified mail slip in the box. Why didn't the carrier bring it to my door? I was home and the mail carrier normally drives right past our door to get to the row of mailboxes. Our mail comes very late in the day so the post office was already closed and most days I couldn't make it from work to the post office before it closes. Our postal carrier is just plain LAZY! Horrible customer service! Couldn't even read the slip it was so sloppily written!
