Working with our Law Enforcement Partners

Our special agents investigate nationwide internal crimes and fraud committed by postal employees and contractors as well as postal employee misconduct. We work with U.S. Attorneys’ Offices and local prosecutors across the country to prosecute these crimes.

In some instances, we uncover much larger criminal activity being carried out by multiple individuals and organizations. In many of these cases, we partner with other federal and local law enforcement agencies to identify and hold responsible those who take advantage of the public’s trust in our postal system.

Former Postal Employee Sentenced for Embezzlement of Mail Matter

NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA – Yvonne Wilson, age 37, of Kenner, Louisiana, was sentenced yesterday after previously pleading guilty to embezzlement of mail matter by a postal service employee, announced U. S. Attorney Duane A. Evans. U.S. District Judge Eldon E. Fallon sentenced WILSON to three (3) years’ probation and ordered her to pay restitution in the amount of $1,402.99. Physician Pleads Guilty to Health Care Offenses and Agrees to $2.8 Million Civil Settlement

Fort Myers, FL – Dr. Michael Frey, M.D. (46, Fort Myers) has pleaded guilty to two counts of conspiracy to receive healthcare kickbacks. He faces a maximum penalty of five years in federal prison for each count. Dr. Frey also faces a term of supervised release of up to three years for each count. PHILADELPHIA — Felicia Charleston, 36, of Philadelphia, was sentenced on May 16 to 10 months in federal prison for using her position as a postal carrier to deliver packages containing marijuana to drug dealers in West Philadelphia, announced United States Attorney William M.
