Working with our Law Enforcement Partners

Our special agents investigate nationwide internal crimes and fraud committed by postal employees and contractors as well as postal employee misconduct. We work with U.S. Attorneys’ Offices and local prosecutors across the country to prosecute these crimes. 

In some instances, we uncover much larger criminal activity being carried out by multiple individuals and organizations. In many of these cases, we partner with other federal and local law enforcement agencies to identify and hold responsible those who take advantage of the public’s trust in our postal system.

Former Postal Worker Sentenced for Obstruction of Mail

NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA – KEVIN HART, age 31, of Marrero, Louisiana, was sentenced to a $100.00 fine and a $10.00 mandatory special assessment fee by United States District Court Judge Wendy B. Vitter. Satsuma Postal Carrier Indicted On Theft Of Mail Charge

Jacksonville, Florida – United States Attorney Roger B. Handberg announces the return of an indictment charging Sara Brady (47, Satsuma), formerly a postal carrier in St. Johns County, with theft of mail by a postal employee. If convicted, Brady faces up to 5 years in federal prison and payment of restitution to the victims in the case.
