Working with our Law Enforcement Partners

Our special agents investigate nationwide internal crimes and fraud committed by postal employees and contractors as well as postal employee misconduct. We work with U.S. Attorneys’ Offices and local prosecutors across the country to prosecute these crimes. 

In some instances, we uncover much larger criminal activity being carried out by multiple individuals and organizations. In many of these cases, we partner with other federal and local law enforcement agencies to identify and hold responsible those who take advantage of the public’s trust in our postal system.

Two Altoona Residents Plead Guilty to Methamphetamine Trafficking Charges

Edinburg doctor and son guilty in kickback conspiracy

Minnesota Construction Company Agrees to Pay $5.9M to Resolve False Claims Act Violations

MINNEAPOLIS – Morcon Construction Company, Inc., based in Fridley, Minnesota, has agreed to pay $5.9 million dollars to resolve allegations of False Claims Act violations. Founded in 1982, Morcon is a general contractor responsible for certain repair, maintenance, and related work at U.S. Postal Service sites throughout Minnesota and elsewhere.

Granite City Postal Carrier Sentenced to Prison for Stealing Credit Cards from the Mail

EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. – A southern Illinois district judge sentenced a postal carrier in Granite City to 32 months in federal prison after she admitted to stealing credit cards from the mail and using for personal expenses.
