The Public Service of the Postal Service

Date: 05/06/24 | Category: OIG

Did you know that the first week of May is designated as Public Service Recognition Week? Since its start in 1985, this time honors those who serve our nation as federal, state, county, local, and tribal government employees.

We here at the Pushing the Envelope blog would like to thank the 640,000 employees of the Postal Service for their hard work enabling the delivery of letters, packages, advertisements, catalogs, and magazines throughout the nation. They bring #GovPossible to every home and business across the country.

We would also like to thank the more than 900 employees of the U.S. Postal Service Office of Inspector General. Without our investigators, auditors, data analysts, researchers, and other staff, we would be unable to carry out our mission to promote the integrity, accountability, and efficiency of the U.S Postal Service and its regulator.

Thank you!
