Working with our Law Enforcement Partners

Our special agents investigate nationwide internal crimes and fraud committed by postal employees and contractors as well as postal employee misconduct. We work with U.S. Attorneys’ Offices and local prosecutors across the country to prosecute these crimes. 

In some instances, we uncover much larger criminal activity being carried out by multiple individuals and organizations. In many of these cases, we partner with other federal and local law enforcement agencies to identify and hold responsible those who take advantage of the public’s trust in our postal system.

Philadelphia, PA Postal Workers Agree to Repay Fraudulently Obtained Unemployment Benefits

PHILADELPHIA, PA – United States Attorney Jacqueline C. Romero announced that Jaire Chance, 27, of Philadelphia, has agreed to a consent judgment of $100,399, and Robert Day, 42, of Center Valley, Lehigh County, has agreed to a consent judgment of $110,610 to resolve allegations that they violated the False Claims Act by improperly seeking Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) benefits when they were employed by the United States Postal Service.

Madison County Man Pleads Guilty to Receipt and Possession of Child Pornography

Former Postal Worker Sentenced for Obstruction of Mail

NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA – KEVIN HART, age 31, of Marrero, Louisiana, was sentenced to a $100.00 fine and a $10.00 mandatory special assessment fee by United States District Court Judge Wendy B. Vitter. According to court documents, HART was employed by the United States Postal Service as a City Carrier Associate and was assigned to work at Johnson Street Post Office, Metairie, Louisiana 70001. Two Arrested for Armed Robberies of Postal Workers

BOSTON – Two Massachusetts individuals have been arrested and charged in connection with the armed robberies of United States Postal Service (USPS) letter carriers that took place on Nov. 29, 2022 in Mattapan, Mass., and Dec. 16, 2022 in Hyde Park, Mass.
