Suggestion For some postal facilities you have room for such an idea or suggestion. What if you created a drive thru for parcel pickup with the location that is big enough for a drive thru, such as the Portsmouth. NH building. You can set rules, guidelines, time and date for pick up. Request that a valid photo ID (not expired) and any other possible people that is allowed to pick up package with photo ID (Walmartdoes this with pickup items). This would minimize the time that a postal worker is out on the street and limit over, risk of being out in the dark, prevent work injuries, retaining staff and a secure way for those that don't like the idea of packages being delivered on porch with possible theft.
