Background

This report presents the results of our audit to assess management’s corrective action to address mail delivery issues for customers serviced by the Cimarron Hills Station . The Cimarron Hills Station is in Colorado Springs, CO, in the Colorado/Wyoming District, Western Area. This audit was initiated at the request of Congressman Doug Lamborn, 5th Congressional District, Colorado. The inquiry showed that residents of two neighborhoods serviced by the Cimarron Hills Station — Indigo Ranch and Stetson Hills — were dissatisfied with their delivery service and experienced frequent misdelivery of mail and missing items.

Sent a package that was distributed by this postal services and it never arrived. I checked the tracking and states it was delivered. Waited for another day to see if it would arrive and it didn't. Apparently, this is an issue with the Cimarron Hill Colorado Springs PO and continues to be.

We have an bad mail lady she is damaging every package we get. She speeds around, runs stop signs, hides important mail inside junk mailers, and hides the packages in front of a car in the driveway where they can get wet when we have a front porch with a roof over it . I have had to send many packages back because they were broken very very badly. This is costing me money. I don't know what she is capable of so I stay away . I called the annex in Nazareth Pa. to complain and the woman I talked to told the mail woman and she turned worse. we are in the area of Whitehead Rd. and Oak Rd. in Moore township. I wish someone would change her route or better yet FIRE her for bullying people. PLEASE RESPOND

Typical USPS response: Fill out this form (no link), call this number (2 1/2 hours later some USPS person tells you to fill out a form from a different department) Contact Inspector General: We don't handle those kind of complaints (without asking what the complaint is about). Useless. At least I have a great carrier- not one misdelivery in the past five years. Before him, well... still good people. The problem is the management and its self protective bureaucracy. Two packages stolen/missing/damaged from the post office on Meadowland. Their answer: YOU should have insured it. What does that mean? You only deliver insured packages?

My postal carrier (zip code 90045) is asking me to hand deliver mail for him, because he doesn't want to he told me. So he crams everybody's mail in the neighborhood into my mail slot. I told him that I was going to repirt this. He told me to go ahead "My Boss Doesn't Care".

You state you interviewed delivery personnel and watched their practices.... OK? What did they tell you?..Your report is silent...It doesn't take a genius to see the obvious... Most carriers want to do a good job....If they fall down, there are compelling reasons...And most carriers are not shy in telling you what is real..Your report is glaringly silent.... This report looks like fluff to appease a Congressman... oooo. We'll have new reports and stand ups, etc....No matter how you slice this report...It's still baloney.
