The Holiday City Station is in the Tennessee District of the Southern Area. This audit was designed to provide U.S. Postal Service management with timely information on potential scanning and mail delivery risks at the Holiday City Station.

The delivery unit had 19 city routes and two rural routes delivered by 23 full-time city carriers, two full-time rural carriers, and one rural carrier associate. The unit also had four clerks including three full-time and one postal support employee. We chose the Holiday City Station based on the number of customer inquiries recorded for the delivery unit. Specifically, there were 662 inquiries recorded in the Customer 360 system from September to November 2020.

    I am having so much trouble getting mail delivered, and I mailed out checks from my business on 10/2/21. These checks have not reached my customers. This causes late charges. It costs $30 per check to stop payment and send another. My daughter had $50 fees to add payments that didn't reach their destination. What's going on with the mail? This cannot continue.

    I've have a couple of packages trapped at the Memphis facility since April 8th 2021. The packages have been confirmed to be at the location and still have not been shipped out to the next facility. Now I can not get anyone on the phone. They answer the phone and before I can get a hello out of my mouth or a full sentence they hang up on me. I'm about to the point of reporting stolen mail by this facility.

    I have been experiencing extremely long wait time for mail and packages. For example, my mother in-law sent us a Christmas card post marked 12/16/20. We did not receive it until today 4/5/21. I can understand some delay but this is beyond reason. I have also experienced other delays and am not happy about it. My deceased husband worked for the po and I know for a fact that they goofed off dilly dallied so they could overtime. You are messing with people's lives.

    oig stated managements comments fulfill what is needed...This is a crock... Not enough employees, late delivery of mail.. pm and carriers do what they have to do to get mail to customers as fast as possible. This means throw silly reports which make management look good out the window.. OIG looks at the silly reports and tags locals for not doing paperwork,,,, Locals have a paperwork and delivery goes all to hell...or... cut corners to satisfy customer needs... I commend the latter and think the former is a flat out joke... Again... You see comments like this but never respond to our concerns...Why?
