You probably have heard a lot recently about the pandemic and other issues causing problems with mail delivery, with some people saying it takes weeks for packages and letters to arrive. Maybe you even experienced problems yourself. Maybe you’ve been getting your mail on time and wondering what all the complaints are about.

Did you ever wish you could get a better understanding of how the Postal Service is doing across the country? Well, now you can. We recently launched a new service performance webpage that includes an interactive map displaying quarterly data on the Postal Service’s service performance around the country.

You can filter the data by time period, geography, mail class, or service standard. Want to see on-time performance for presorted First-Class Mail that is supposed to be delivered in two days? You can. Maybe you’re interested in focusing on Marketing Mail in New York? You can filter the map to see that also.

    Never had mail problems until I moved to my current address in 1991. Thirty years of getting other people’s mail and not getting all of mine. Tried everything. I’m talking to you, Sam Bass Road PO in Round Rock Texas. And everybody in the post offices in that area talk about how worthless you are. Why don’t you just admit it. Some of your employees are totally worthless and will never get fired and the person or persons running the USPS is also worthless. Maybe they should run for Congress.

    AMEN!!!! I don't mail packages anymore through USPS. I send it right from the place I buy online because the lines are always 20-30 people deep and two people who are slower than molasses from the tree in early morning January in Minnesota.

    Looks like the USPS has lost 2 more packages of mine on the same day but from 2 different senders. This happened with 2 other packages a few months ago. The packages were insured so I thought I'd get reimbursed...of course not. USPS will just point to their tracking and say "the system says it was delivered so there's nothing we can do." Sure, they'll assign someone to look into your lost mail but they don't make much f an effort. They asked my driver if he remembered dropping off my mail and he said no. Case closed. I avoid USPS .

    USPS has lost more of my packages this year so far than in the 8 years I've been in business. I run a small business and you are literally killing it. When you lose a package, it's my responsibility to pay for it again and ship it again hoping it don't get lost a second time. At $4 a 1st class package is ridiculous. Especially for a $1 it that's too big to be sent any other way. 1 oz should not be the same price as 4 ozs . So... With over $100 to USPS in shipping costs per day... That's 35600 a year. I'm done. I'm going to ups. Yep ups can have money now. Your loss.

    I shipped 4 packages through UPS ground and they were received in 5 days. Two letters were sent through USPS 3 weeks ago and still nobody knows where they are and why they haven't been received. Letters. Not packages. Mailed out March 8th and it is now April 2cd. Very important letters. Not good.

    Why do you accept people's money for tracking and then not refund them for losing their package? I essentially gambled on getting my package and lost 200 dollars because of your agencys incompetence. I will never use the USPS for anything ever again. Hope being privatized was your end goal because now I'm cheering for it.

    Complete pain to deal with. Ordered a few items off eBay and Amazon over a period of 2 months. Didn’t receive any of them. Called and called and even went to post office to resolve the issue. The employees were rude and obviously didn’t care. All of a sudden, 2 1/2 months later, all of our packages arrived at once. They are complete garbage.

    I’m so frustrated!!! Every time I order something and send it to a family member in Illinois my package does not make it to USPS!! This is the THIRD time!!! I order something and send it to the same address!! And my package does not make it!!! I don’t know what they are doing!! Feels kinda sketchy!! I’m so livid!!

    My local post office in Boston 02128 is lazy, in addition to admitting that they hold mail I am super frustrated that I can pay for priority mail and it takes weeks to travel inside Boston. WTF postal service!! The local mail man didn’t want to leave his truck to deliver my mail, he wanted to drive right up to the building without getting out which was 25 yards. I called his boss who supported that his driver is too busy to get out of his car and won’t deliver my mail. I had to call customer service who agreed it was lazy and gave me the local post master phone. I talked to Bostons Post master who made the local boss tell his driver to deliver the mail. And out of spite for that they hold my mail again. Maybe someday karma will find them. JC

    USPS has lost 3 packages of mine this year. The system to try to find out where a late package is, is basically useless. The only this that happens is the local post office calls you and reads you the tracking info that you can already see for yourself. I can understand that packages will be late, but to lose so many packages is unacceptable. There must be dumpsters full of "lost" packages somewhere.

All in the name of feeding their own addictions to dollars, denials, and delusions at the expense of all, but their own. We have given all the wrong people the power of governance. It’s no surprise that this has turn the whole of the federal government into the biggest criminal enterprise on the planet hypocritically hiding behind the color of the laws of ignorances and greediocies it creates. If the American citizenry wants betterment it’s going to have to start electing people with common sense who live in reality.     I work in a medical office. We are receiving mail return back and I have contacted the patients and verified we do have the correct address, 3 just today. In our billing system, we even have a USPS verification so the address is going out correctly and adding the sub-zipcode.

    I am filing a report for a missing package. The tracking indicates that it was left in my mailbox but it was not there. The postmaster actually acknowledged that he did not leave the package in my mailbox but somehow it is showing delivered. Does the postmaster pay me when he can’t find it and he scanned the box saying that he delivered it? Sounds fraudulent to me.

    Maybe if management , mainly post master's, weren't so incompetent, treated employees with respect and talked to em with respect like grown ups do the USPS might be able to hire new people and retain them and they wouldn't be in such bad shape. My wife is a carrier for the Pikeville NC post office and I have seen some of the texts that the postmaster, Doug, has sent to her. If someone talked to me like that on my personal cell phone on my personal time off, i.e. at home not at work, we would have a come to Jesus meeting. And if he continues to talk to her like that I will be going to have a man to man conversation with him. You do not talk to or treat people that way. I don't care what your job title is. When someone is off the clock you're not their boss and you can either accept that or get a rude awakening. Pretty sure this guy isn't the only guy that does that. If I worked for someone like that I wouldn't do a good job either. As a matter of fact I'd do the opposite of a good job to be spiteful.

    If her office's local union rep NALC or NRLCA hasn't been informed that is step one. If that rep has failed to act go above her head to the branch office. And get a new phone number. management doesn't issue phones if they want to text they can send it through the scanner.

    I sent out about 100 checks (with a stamp) and a number of 1st class mail with bar scans on 10/31/2021. The items with scans went to Nashua, NH and Middlesex, MA locations None of the checks were cashed. I have vendors calling as to why I am late. This is HORRIFIC. What on earth does the postal system think they are accomplishing by "slowing down the postal system". This happened at the same time the postal system announced that the mail service would be slowed down. This will force accountants like me to transition to paying electronically and bypassing the postal system if it is not longer reliable. Companies will NOT opt to upgrade the mail service... rather bypass it all together.

    Our postman Dan does an outstanding job. He is always very helpful and pleasant. We are a small family-owned business, and we depend on USPS to deliver our products to our customers. Dan makes that part of our business pleasant. We wish that all postmen were more like Dan. Eclipsed Antiquities

    The USPS is so dysfunctional that it seems beyond redemption. I stopped bothering to complain to the local postmaster about 5 years ago. The postmaster never returns calls, emails, in person requests to speak, etc. The vacation holds are simply ignored. I've tried doing it on line, turning in the yellow card at the post office, writing a note to my mailman, sometimes all of the above at the same time. It NEVER works. Whenever a vendor sends me merchandise, it will never get to me in about 50% of the times. Thank God for FedEx and UPS!

    I mailed a package to Oregan. The post office trandposed the numbers in the zip code snd it ee t to texas. I called customer service they sent emails. The packsge kept being resent between georgia and texas. I guesd no one read the emails. It dhould have been a simple fix. I called and tried to speak with other people for helf. I wad cursed at screamed at and told i was a selfish person for caring more about my package than whst the post office was going through. After wstching this package bounce back and fourth for a couple of months i tried to file a claim. They said no the package was t lost. I am out 75.00 that i feel they stole. I am now using fedex for shipping. Word to the wise find another shipper.

    My mail is going to an address other than my own. When my son moved he created an forwarding address to his new address. He is Jr. However the FranK Tejeda post office in San Antonio advised that they do no look at sir names like Jr. or Sr. Therefore, all my mail now goes elsewhere. I call over a week ago and they advised that the forwarding request is now expired and I should be getting my mail This is not the case. It still goes in limbo somewhere and I'm not getting any of my important mail However, I do still get my Junk Mail. How do I fix this. This post office is of no help to me.

    I sell on Ebay as my main source of income and the way the USPS treats my packages has damaged my livelihood so much I can't begin to exlpain. I get penalties for late deliveries on ebay because Priority is just an "estimate" and lost packages out the wazooo and I even sent a package 3 times to one guy and the tracking never showed any of the move!! Oh, and the Claim system ha! try to make a claim! The hoops you have to jump through and the excuses they make so you can't get your insurance...It's WILD!

    I sent a letter using priority mail and it says right on receipt “delivery in 2 days. It has been 6 days and still in transit. My suggestion get rid of the crook that runs the post office! I hope President Biden does!

    Have been attempting to find out WHY and WHERE my sent certified mail (which includes sensitive information) is late and why it seems to be "stuck" in Sacramento after taking only 2 days to get there from rural Oregon??????? Attempting to get info from the USPS website sources I either get circled around to main page or on one occasion got notice the email page was not a secure page - accessed from the USPS complaint page!!!!!!!! If not delivered by Monday I will sue

    My package shipped from the vendor Nov 10 and arrived at the Saint Petersburg Fl post office Nov 15. It has been 8 days and I have still not received my pkg I check the tracking delivery comfirmation information daily and nothing has changed. WHAT'S GOING ON? It is a small package less than a pound.     UPS or FedEx should propose buying the entire United States Postal Service, including all infrastructure. A UPS driver would deliver your mail. Customer service would undoubtedly improve, taxpayer expense would decrease and the private sector would add jobs. Finally, our privatized postal service could become profitable . . .or at least break-even and consumers would benefit on many levels. Imagine how good the service could become if postal service employees actually believed that they'd lose their jobs based on poor customer service or performance!

    You are delusional . The pay for carriers is $18 and some change. Do you realize that KFC is hiring new employees starting $18 hr ?? You do know that UPS pay more the USPS. I hope you do not live in a desolate area because you will be paying a surcharge in order to receive parcels. USPS is mandated to deliver to each and every house no matter where they live. That includes mountain areas in Montana and low populated areas of AZ. Do you remember a surcharge added to deliveries when gas was at $4.25 hr in 2008 ?? USPS could not change their prices during peak times like other delivery services do. Alot of brick and motor stores have closed. Mail order is now the norm. Do you think free delivery will still be around ?? USPS also accepts ALL parcels that are brought in to offices for mailing. Does UPS?? They do, but you will pay more $$ after they open up your unprotected items and add stuffing and tape so your parcel will not be squished. Your wish can happen right now. Why dont you use UPS and quit using USPS ?? Put your money where your mouth is. Pay for the service that you want.

    Sorry but you are wrong about them being mandated to deliver to every house no matter what. I live in an apartment complex and we got mail delivered 3 times in a month. That’s it just 3 times. I called over and over to complain. Turns out the driver just wasn’t coming here because he didn’t like all the walking. So he was scanning packages and marking them delivered and then just taking them back to the post office where they sat or were returned. I had someone contact me about a package that was returned to them as “undeliverable” despite the tracking showing it as delivered. As for paying for the service you want, I have done that and it makes no difference. UPS and FedEx for the most part don’t deliver residentially in my city. So even when you send something via UPS it gets handed off to the USPS for actual delivery. I ordered a package from overseas and paid $26 for shipping to have it send priority via UPS and to have tracking. It got to my city, UPS handed it off to the USPS, who promptly send it to a different city 11 hours away where it has been sitting in a facility for over 3 weeks now. And when I open a case they just close it and say that it’s “moving within the USPS and on its way to its destination”. The USPS is absolute garbage and needs to be done away with entirely

    I sent a priority package and 6 days later placed a case because it had not even left the first facility. Frustration is the case worker just says it is what it is can take up to 30 days to send the package even after asking the agent to ensure i have a 2 day delivery. It says on my USPS slip - Priority Mail @ 2 days - so why would I just accept then 30 days when i know it is an urgent package. How do i know it is not lost at this point and not just delayed. The feedback I received with the attitude of it is what it is when I specifically asked for it to be delivered in 2 days because of its urgency - makes me so very disappinted in the USPS services!

    For 2 yrs and multiple complaints to many USPS people in different departments, they still won't fix their website so you can make changes to your mail forwarding order. I filed a temporary change of address order online back in July for which they charged me $1.00+ for and they are supposed to allow you to make changes to it as needed because no one can predict the future and know 6 months ahead of time what the exact date they will be returning home, however, every time I keep trying to make the change to my order from Nov to Oct, it keeps giving me an error notice that says "we are unable to modify your change-of-address at this time because it is still being processed. Please come back after 72 hours.". Well it's been months, well past 72 hours, so what's the problem that you can't fix this issue? When I call the local post office, I just get the run around telling me that I have to go in and fill out a different form in person to make the change, then it has to be sent to Virginia to be processed. Well that would take a week or more. In the meantime, my bills and checks are not showing up and bills go past due because of lack of delivery by USPS. So then I called the 800 customer service number for which I had to wait over an hour of my time for (time is money that I'm losing due to waiting on a mis-managed postal system that can't take calls in a timely manner and make you jump through a million hoops just to get to speak to a live person), and that rep tried accessing my order online as well and saw the same error message so she said she would send an email directly to the post office that's forwarding my mail and tell them to stop it and start normal delivery back up. However, this local post office still refuses to stop the temp mail forwarding and resume my normal delivery. I asked the rep to please pass on my complaint about the error message as this happened the previous year too. She said they already know of the problem, but it's still not fixed 2 yrs later. Ridiculous!! In the meantime, I have no idea what the local post office is even doing with my mail as they won't even tell me if they even got the email from customer service, and if they are still mail forwarding it, holding it, returning to sender or what. The USPS is so out of control and they are making people miserable and affecting people's lives drastically with incompetence, lack of cooperation and red tape bureaucracy. Someone needs to clean house and revamp the postal system with common sense procedures instead of being difficult to deal with!

The Postal Service in my opinion has become a complete joke and the most unreliable form of all the shipping services out there! It's about time to do something about it!     I've had one to many packages say they have been delivered and they are not being delivered. I'm getting a Camara installed to show how much the USPS mail person lies when they say they left it on my door step. Most of the time they refuse to deliver and have me come to the post office which is all the way across town I get there and they don't have my packages. I really think they are being scanned and the mail person is stealing our packages.

    I find the tracking information nearly useless, first class packages, even small ones never seem to arrive on time, and tracking often shows the packages to spend more than two days in a postal facility. I recently had one package bounce around more or less local distribution centers, first one, then another and back to the original and I still do not have the package. I try to avoid USPS service, when once it was reliable and reasonable, it is now a joke. No one seems to know or care about what they are doing. I see probably half a dozen different mail carriers serving my neighborhood, when we used to have one, who seemed to know the route and the people in it to keep mail going to the right addresses. Now, mail is mis -routed all the time. The post office, as a service, seems to be drifting further and further behind in its usefulness.

    Over the past 3 months, we have had more of our first-class mailings go missing than in the previous 10 years combined. We started using stamps.com to mail our fabric samples by first class mail, so that bar codes would be printed and hopefully speed up delivery. We now have had to mail out replacement samples at least once a week because our customers never receive their first ones. We depend on people getting their samples in a timely manner so that they can make a decision on purchasing. It reflects badly on us when they have to ask twice and I am sure we have lost sales because of this. What is going on? Is there something amiss with stamps.com (they say no)? Are USPS machines not reading the bar codes correctly? Should I go back to addressing by hand? I'm at my wits end. Thanks, Diane

    USPS delivered a box whose top had been broken so the label was ripped, and the bottom cut open, but then refolded/tucked so it would hold the contents. There was a handbag shipped in the box, with 2 small packets tucked in the handbag at the time it was shipped. the small packets were in the box but the handbag had been stolen. i waited in 3 different post office lines over 3 hours to get some resolution and was sent from one office to the other, only to be told it was the senders fault because it wasn't "packaged' properly. whether it was packaged proprly or not does not give the USPS to steal the contents of a box!!!! was finally told to file a claim on USPS.com. Really upset about this theft - its not ok that USPS be allowed to steal with no repercussions. There needs to be an investigation because if this person stole once, they're stealing again and again.

    Yes, I order my breathing meds through a Canadian pharmacy that directs it to the overseas manufacturers. The recent shipment received at end of September was so mangled I contacted Canada who confirmed that the shipment was in perfect condition when it left Singapore. The damage was caused after the carton reached the United States airport to be transfered to USPS for delivery. It’s bad enough that USPS takes an unusually extended delivery time on everything but the condition of this carton was the worst I have ever received one of my medication refills. I am so fed up with USPS but I know this is widespread here in the U. S. This is not acceptable!

    unless that pharmacy can verify that the package was intact when it was loaded onto the aircraft or ship that brought it over, they can't "confirm" that the package was intact when it left Singapore.

    Looks like delivery the package is an option for you. I lost 2, several go-to out of the map for weeks. You don't treat each parcell as a contract that need to be fulfilled you just work on big numbers and if some got lost who cares.... you have so many customers that you don't need all of them happy. start paying for your errors...tou are not making a favour. You are a shame and your justifications make the thing even worse. Start working as is supposed to be...so as simple.
