The global pandemic of COVID-19 has impacted our country in ways that were unimaginable months ago.     Mail from UK arrived in Chicago on April 19. Since then nothing. 3 other pieces of mail from the UK and Spain are weeks late as well. It seems international mail cannot reach the USA and may never get here.

    Hello, I run a small online business that mainly focuses on smaller value items under $50. Majority of my sales are on ebay and International packages going to Europe and Asia. I have been reading the comments below and am experiencing an extreme issue due to packages going to the Miami Distribution center and not progressing. I have shipped out hundreds of packages since March and they go to the distribution center and disappear. Can we please have an explanation what the next step is moving forward. Will the packages be returned to sender or what? I have had to refund my customers mainly on Ebay thousands of dollars for packages that are just sitting in a Miami warehouse.

    I tried to mail two small packages to my father in the Philippines that have essential asthma medications. They cannot get this medication in his Province (Zambales). The Post Office said that service operations to that destination are presently suspended. Is there another way I can ship his meds? I don't care if it costs more to go another route, but he has been out of meds since the COVID-19 protocols restricted foreign mail to other countries.

    As others say, don't you USPS for international during the pandemic, period. My 2 packages shipped from Las Vegas to France and Italy never reached and tracking number says still in transit. One I shipped in March and other one I shipped in April. Since FOB rules doesn't work anymore for online customers, most likely I will loose money with no merchandise back.. I filed a claim at USPS site but some reason I cannot choose international and major goods such as products are missing at the category search box. It's just too bad situation that I need to dissolve.. sucks.

    I went to the Post Office on April 27 to have a package delivered to Spain. The package tracker says it was delivered to the Los Angeles International Service Center on April 28, and there has been no movement or updates since. Should I file a claim? I understand the pandemic has severely hindered operations, but this is a long delay.

    I am so angry and tired. I have claims on over 15 packages for my business sent in MARCH and APRIL via the USPS. No movement out of Miami. Is it me or is the phone no longer picking up to speak to a representative? I cannot get through. I emailed the Postmaster General to complain. Not that it did anything. What are we going to do?? What is the Plan people?? As a business, why is nothing being done? How can the packages just be sitting with no response from USPS. I am now shipping third party DHL and Fedex. I will no longer use the USPS to ship internationally. The USPS is literally shutting my business down due to thousands and thousands of dollars stuck in Miami.??? Why??? Why can't they return the items to us? Or ship? I just want my items back and shipping refunded. How can I make that happen at this point? My customers are angry. And I don not have the funds to refund when this is not my fault. Such a shame. We all barely have held on as small businesses, and the USPS is going to ruin us by not fulfilling their end of the bargain. They basically stole our $$. They should have not accepted ANY packages during Covid19 MARCH - NOW until they clear out the warehouses of all our boxes. I'm so disgusted, tired and angry. Never again will I use USPS for my international shipping. Never!

    Sounds like an excuse for lazy employees to me. Tell them "Slap a mask on and get to work". My packages take less than a week to to get on shore, and then, 5 weeks to get to my friggin' house! This is completely unacceptable. If you can't make it work, file for chapter 11 and farm it out to someone who can. It is that simple.

    For those of you who have not received your order, you may contact the seller. That's what I did. I bought an ipad from Best Buy. It's been a month but I have never received it. USPS was giving me the run around. They could not tell me where my package is and when it will be delivered. Emailed them multiple times, sent direct message thru their twitter account, and filed a missing package report. No response from them. I brought the issue to Best Buy and they refunded me the full amount. I am thinking that my package is already stolen and I am disgusted by this.

    Me too - I ordered some antique bicycle fenders from a seller in Greece on 4 April, 2020. His communication was great - he told me there would be a delay in shipping because Greek airports were closed. The Parcel’s left Athens on 5 May and the last scan was at ISC Chicago on 21 May where it was “processed through.” No clue if it is sitting in a container or where or ‘lost’. I imagine, because the airports in Greece were shut down, there is a huge back log. U.K.-sent items have arrived within two weeks throughout this pandemic. I know a few postal workers who are hard-working good people; I don’t blame the workers. As with many of our government agencies, it’s the system, government mismanagement and that many in ‘leadership’ have lost nearly all sense of public service because our governmental systems are so Byzantine, dysfunctional and inaccessible those they are supposed to serve.

    I am just beyond distraught. I completely realize the coronavirus and Covid epidemic but three months??? I mailed two very large packages to my daughter and her family in Paris, France from Alabama. Why is nothing moving from the Miami, Florida distribution center??? My granddaughters have never even received their Easter gifts. I know that sounds trivial to most but it’s important to me and I paid hi dollars for this international shipping. What in the heck is going on??? This is awful! Three months!!

    I am expecting several mail deliveries from USPS sent by end of March from different states to Barcelona, Spain. None arrived on hands up to now. Today is June 7th. I think +2 months is too long, When do you expect to normalize the situation? If you had warned on time, the private carriers (DHL, Fedex) work perfectly so I did not mind paying more. It is not a question of money, but of not losing clients. One of the senders filed the claim for two of them but all the tracking information has disappeared from the system. It's not fair!

    My question is when receiving a certified letter from a individual why is the postman aloud to sign for it and put it into your mailbox? I received one earlier in the week from my school district....when I asked the postman the following day he stated because of COVID-19 they have the right to sign for it.....one this is not legal and you are forging my name.     I am surprised about the laxity of enforcement of visitors inside post offices. When I went inside one today to mail a package, there was an couple; the woman had a mash on but the man had his dangling off of one ear! I asked him to please put it on and his reply was “I’m breathing”. There was not anybody behind the counter to enforce the policy. Also, while I was there, two other people came in without masks to just drop off packages. The face mask policy has got to be better enforced.

    It's going on 2 months now that I have been waiting for 3 separate packages. I know things are slower than normal, but never in a MILLION years did I expect to still be waiting on packages 60 days later. And 1 of the 3 still says that the label was created but it is not in the system. This is absolutely RIDICULOUS!!!!!

    I am having this exact issue. I ordered 2 packages on May 9th. I thought the company was based in the U.K. but after tracking, I then found out it was being sent from China. Had I known ahead of time I wouldn't have even ordered. One package says shipped & the other says in transit.

    I’ve been waiting for 18 days to get my package and I still don’t have it and I wanted it earlier I didn’t want to receive it late. With this COVID-19 the package delivery times are extended and I don’t know if I’m still going to get it fast or not. And I don’t know how long I have to wait. I ordered my stuff in May 17 and it’s almost close to be done to be delivered to me but it just stopped somehow and I can’t even track anything and I’m just stuck on what to do and how to receive my package.

    I too have experienced extremely slow delivery with USPS this year. I have had packages just sitting for weeks at post offices 40 minutes away from the delivery location! I have had to issue customer refunds because of excessively late packages. And I have waited for important inventory for almost a month that normally takes 2 weeks to arrive at the longest. It is beyond frustrating.. covid-19 already put most of my sales at a standstill and what I have left is now being jeopardized because of inconsistent mail delivery.

    Can packages still be stuck? Mine was sent from PA (to Finland) 27th Feb and Etsy still says it's in US and "origin post is preparing shipment"?? Nothing has happened and seller doesn't answer my questions since they have closed the shop for this period... It has been 3 months and I don't know what to do. /--: I don't have tracking number or anything myself. I began to worry more when my other package from US arrived almost in time. Both of them were "unnecessary items" if that affects the delay.

    I know complaints aren’t going to fix anything but I truly am curious and worried. I’m curious because I’ve also had a package just be set as “in route” and it’s passed it’s delivery date. I understand this pandemic has caused a lot of trouble but I don’t quite understand the reason behind not being able to track the package. That’s an automated system I assume so shouldn’t it work anyway? I’m nervous because my package includes my medicine in it and I need it regardless if whether I’m in quarantine or not. If I could get an answer or email regarding my package I’d really appreciate it. I have my tracking number ready and everything so please reach out. It would be most appreciated. Thank you all for your service and I respect what you do. I did before all this crap started happening.

    Hello, My mom sent a package from MN to Berlin, Germany late March 2020. We still haven't received it here in Germany and I was wondering if packages are sent to quarantine before shipped overseas.     Covid-19 has stopped the tracking of mail? Is that a computer virus or a human virus. What's really "unimaginable" is that a package can be "in transit" for over a week with ZERO tracking movement information related to it - while that same package is 30 minutes away from the destination! This issue is with USPS in GREENSBORO - and these issues have been recorded PRE-Covid-19. Now there's another package with Priority Mail that is "stalled" somewhere in Massachusetts with the same issue. If you're older than 50 years in age, like me, then you would have to agree that "something" has changed with the service that USPS has today in it's shipping process/handling and this "something" is being reflected/electronically shown in the records of USPS Tracking itself. Specifics on individual shipments I can give, but I'm already dealing with refunds for the lack delivery in over two weeks. I just thought I would drop a bug in your collective "ears" about this.     Logging complaints is accomplishing nothing. I really hope they can start giving us more detailed responses as to why items are sitting for weeks and weeks. I have a package send back in April that cleared customs may 16th and it’s just moving through distribution. Another sitting In ISC Chicago since May 9. While others shipments arrive everyday. I get the feeling they are de-prioritizing international shipments.

    I am having the same issue. They have my package since the beginning of may, zero movement and all of a sudden the 21st an update, but it's nothing since then. Asking them for info gets you the same stupid standard message that you should be patient due to delays and blablable... All while DHL/ups/fedex manage to get shipments overseas in less than a week.

    On the complete this section on deliver on the Domestic Return Receipt, box B is signed Covid-19 was this done by the recipient or is it to done to prevent contact due to the pandemic? Need to know if my certified letter was actually delivered but again section B has the words Covid-19 written in it. Thanks

    How is the USPS dealing with obtaining signatures for USPS Certified - Restricted Mail delivery? For example, your carrier wrote in his/her name and "Put in mailbox" on the green card. Is this proper delivery? From our perspective, this does not appear to be proper delivery.
