In fiscal year 2018, the OIG hotline was contacted 96,252 times, almost double the number from the year before. Yet many of those complaints don’t actually fall within our jurisdiction and so we pass them along to the Postal Service.

We established the hotline two decades ago to receive complaints and tips from postal employees and customers on such things as fraud, waste of funds or resources, mail theft, and other postal crimes. Complaints also include charges of misconduct; violations of laws, rules, or regulations; and danger to public health and safety as related to Postal Service programs and policies, employees, and contractors.

Your information is extremely important to us. They lead to both audits and investigations. That’s why we make taking tips about fraud, waste, and misconduct simple. Just go to www.uspsoig.gov and click on the large red hotline box on the homepage.

That’s the most direct way to contact us if you see a postal crime being committed, or a potential misuse of postal equipment, or a violation of rules by a postal employee or contractor. More information on how our hotline can help you, please visit www.uspsoig.gov/hotline.

Can’t seem to get ANY HELP with the HCR contract abuse by my employer no matter who I contact. I’ve made complaints with the inspector general (twice) and also the department of labor. Seems no one cares that these contracts are not followed. No one cares when a contractor POCKETS the benefits and steals hours from drivers paychecks. I don’t know how you all sleep at night.

Some people are like criminals, they don't think that they will get caught until we as a community say/do something!!

I've sent time sensitive letter through USPS Certified Mail Return Receipt Requested on April 8, 2019 to Chicago loop destination. On April 11, 2019 I found green card receipt in my mail box not signed . Checked tracking and found out that my mail is still in transit, though green card receipt was sent to me. Having similar situations in the past my hope that this mail will be delivered is very slim. USPS negligence and lack of accountability is a common problem of this institution. USPS Chicago loop location is specifically bad and irresponsible as far as mail delivery.

Several times this past year, we have tracked the weird back-and-forth journeys of our packages. The latest, an order shipped through USPS from Windsor, GA to Canton, CT. The package left Windsor, GA on March 27, arrived in Atlanta, GA the same day, then arrived in Springfield, MA on March 29. On March 30, it headed to New Britain, CT, arriving on April 1. It was shipped from New Britain to Hartford, CT the same day, then sent back to Springfield, MA on April 2. We still don't have the package. Like I said, this far from the only time I've seen packages on the yo-yo run. Any clues as to why?

I’m Not sure what’s going on with my mail. I own my home. I rented it to the Cook’s for 6 months. They moved out Feb 28th. Since then, I’ve received at least three letters sent to people other than the Cook’s or myself. I’ve owned this home since August 2017. From August 2027 to September 2018, there was hardly any mail and certainly not in any other names than the previous owner. These pieces of mail I’ve teceived have come in the last 2 weeks. It’s slmost like someone is using my address for something illicit. Let me know if there is something I should do. I still have the unopened mail I received.

post office zip code is 33004 we only receive mail 2 times a week, out of a possible 6 days. If we do it get mail its after 8 P.M. at night. I demand an investigation as to what is going on with this post office. I hold the post office responsible for any problems i have with being late paying a bill or anything else.
