Our postal service sometimes leaves a slip saying package is at post office that they were sorry to have missed you at our home but we are retired couple always at home. There are some people in our area without transportation. Can't dive 5 miles to town. Also we use to have our own mail boxes. Now the postal service has put up boxes. Bad thing is when it rains our mail is soaking wet. If we complain to the post office they say that's not our problem.

While the new SPSS system may have increased throughput by 50%, it has probably also increased breakage by a similar amount. As a frequent user of the USPS, shipping packages to clients all over the world, I am frequently asked to make sure their package arrives unbroken. And, now, to file a claim for damaged items, the USPS is requiring I, or my client take the broken item and packaging to the post office to be verified! Photos aren't good enough.

NOT GOOD AT ALL. We have a reoccurring issue at the STL distribution. Packages sit for weeks!!! Mostly within state shipments. This is the only location in the US that we have issues with. Our packages average 15x3x3. There are some weeks I have 12+ packages over 2 weeks old sitting there. That is during non peak season. You can guess what it is like during peak season. Last season we had over 46 packages delayed over 2 weeks at any given time.

I really hate that there are not more resources for customers when it comes to getting ahold of someone at the location it is stuck at. Or that there are not more standards in place for your local PO to handle this. When I can call my PO and the end PO and get two totally different results. because one has a "trick" and the other has not been trained to look beyond what we can see. They should all have the same tools. If they do not know how to utilize those tools they should not be Post Master. Im sorry you are dealing with this. I hope you are able to get some answers.
